Inspection requirements & equipment references
For Saskatchewan vehicles covered by the trip inspection requirements, SGI requires an inspection at least once every 24 hours while in use. Record carrier, vehicle and trailer identifiers, odometer, date, time, location, inspector and driver declarations.
Minor defects must be repaired before the next trip inspection. A vehicle with a major defect must not be driven until repaired. Carry the current and previous day’s reports and the applicable schedule.
This checklist is a recording aid, not a substitute for the applicable inspection schedule or a certification of compliance. Confirm your jurisdiction, vehicle class and company requirements.
